Indonesia has a strong and successful economy with a growing demand for energy. The country was an early reformer in the electricity sector which has brought opportunities not only in generation and transmission, but also has resulted in the unbundling and partial privatization of the national utility, PLN.
In order to meet growing power demands the government is looking to IPPs to fulfil its 10 000 MW acceleration plan and help it achieve its renewable energy targets. Analysts have predicted a 12 per cent per annum expansion in Indonesia’s electricity sector.
Power Industry Indonesia provides a unique networking and discussion forum for businesses active in developing power generation and distribution. The programme will provide attendees with the opportunity to engage and debate with government officials; hear from leading industry experts and meet key decision makers.
